Best for: Grades 4–6

Divide by the greatest common factor

12/18: the largest number that divides both 12 and 18 is 6, so 12/18 = 2/3. Students who divide by a smaller common factor can simply repeat until no common factor is left.

Make it a timed challenge

Put a visual classroom timer on the board and see how many problems students can finish before the time runs out. Print a new version tomorrow and try to beat the score.
