The rule kids need

Look at the digit to the right of the place you are rounding to. 5 or more, round up; 4 or less, keep it. Rounding to the nearest 10 first makes the rule easy to see.

Make it a timed challenge

Put a visual classroom timer on the board and see how many problems students can finish before the time runs out. Print a new version tomorrow and try to beat the score.
